Excursion and conference dinner
Excursion
The after-conference excursion will be to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. There, one of the curators will take us through the indigenous art collection. Following some afternoon tea, those who wish may like to wander through the Botanic Gardens down to the Harbour. We shall circle round to the Opera House, there to say farewell. The indigenous art collection is both spectacular and diverse. It is one of the great Australian art collections.
Dr Margaret White will lead this excursion. There will be no up-front costs, except that we shall take public transport to the Gallery, and individuals, if they wish to have afternoon tea in the café overlooking the Harbour, will pay for their own requirements.
There is a terrific store within the Gallery for those who wish to begin their Christmas shopping.
Conference Dinner
Final details are not yet available, except that the cost will be AUD$70. We shall choose a restaurant very close to the conference venue, very probably on King Street, Newtown. This event takes place on Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm. All are very welcome to attend. There is a place on the registration form for you to register your interest and make payment.
