Professor Raewyn Connell
University of SydneyRaewyn Connell is University Professor at the University of Sydney. A leading Australian social scientist, her work is well known in sociology, education, gender studies and political science, and has been translated into thirteen languages. Her books include Masculinities, Schools and Social Justice, Gender and Power and Making the Difference. Her latest book is Southern Theory, Allen & Unwin, Sydney, 2007.
Professor Martin Lawn
University of EdinburghProfessorial fellow at the University of Edinburgh, Martin Lawn is currently working on research projects concerning the role of knowledge in the construction and regulation of health and education policy in Europe. Professor Barbara Pocock
University of South AustraliaBarbara Pocock is the Director of the Centre for Work and Life at the Hawke Research Institute in the University of South Australia. She has a life-long interest in work and inequality. Recent books include The labour market ate my babies: Work, children and a sustainable future, The Federation Press, Sydney, 2006 and The Work/Life Collision by the same publisher in 2003.
