Postgraduate students

Candidates for research degrees involving research in the history of education, childhood and work are encouraged to propose papers for this conference.

Postgraduate paper proposers may either propose full papers, or mark their proposals as "Work-in-Progress". All such papers will be incorporated into the main program.

A preliminary meeting for postgraduate students to meet one-another will be convened by Associate Professor Malcolm Vick and Dr Helen Proctor on the first afternoon of the conference.

If postgraduate students wish to suggest matters for the meeting to discuss, or to register their interest in attending this informal meeting, please contact Malcolm Vick.

It is likely that this session will include an opportunity for students to meet editors of scholarly journals. Come prepared with issues and questions that relate to publishing.

Both the History of Education Society (UK) and ANZHES run schemes to assist postgraduate students with the costs of conference attendance. Look at the web sites of the appropriate society and contact the relevant Secretary to make an application.
